The Band

One thing you can be sure of is that at the end of a Shinjig ceilidh you will be exhausted and happy. Ok, so there's two things of which you can be sure.

Led by superb fiddle playing Shinjig combine traditional and original tunes with irresistable, toe-tapping rhythms. The band's five members have years of experience to produce the Shinjig sound. The result has wowed audiences from students' unions to wedding parties, folk festivals and charity gigs.

Audiences are put through their paces by the band's experienced and versatile caller who caters for all levels of ability; the choice of dances will be tailored to suit the audience on the night. The dances tend to be from the English tradition but also include others from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the USA and some recently written.
